When I’m in London I always miss Paris.
But when I’m a vegan I’ll miss leather more.
Perhaps I’ll go to Le Marais in March and buy lots of vintage instead.

I love trade shows. There’s something very efficient about the measured little squares each trader takes residence in for three days (or however long the show is).

One of my favourites, Pure London, is coming up, which is a bit like Clothes Show Live but without the 14 year old girls looking for the make-over stand. Rather excited, but have a funny feeling it’s going to clash with the trial run of my own event for Lethal Models.

I would not have thought a year ago, scribbling in my WGSN notebook in lectures, that I would now be a little cog in the massive machine that is the fashion industry. Seriously can’t complain.

NB - WGSN is like God, dishing out the commandments long before Vogue, or even the designers, get to tell us what to wear.

Photos my own, Pure London 2011.

Cities are stressful… yet people manage to live, love, take pleasure in life in the midst of it all, and that’s what I’m trying to reflect.

It’s never very faithful, you know, and people want change all the time. This is the purpose of fashion, so I don’t know what is going to happen with me. But my look is not going to change very much.

You can wear a hula girl headband and spend your overdraft on Lambrini, but at the end of the day you’re still a student, you’re still going to be getting the nightbus in the cold, and you’re definitely still going to spend the following week up till 2am trying to talk about Lady Gaga in your (almost) overdue assignment. Again.
Happy Re-freshers!

A couple of days ago I braved the pouring rain and the overground to spend the day rummaging through dozens of vintage beauts in a studio in Deptford. It was like a fashion addict’s crack den. Myself and Theodor Stacey modelled the items, though Sam was also persuaded into trying out our Kooples/Burberry/Gap campaign looks.

The items are all available through Sam Wood’s store, check it out on eBay and Facebook:

…and this was the darling studio we used:
